This is Divine Intimacy: God calls us out of prison; God wants us to appear out from the shadows. It is as if God is that Mother who will never abandon us because of her mercy. It is the relationship that Jesus speaks of in the Gospel [John 5:17-30]. The Father and the Son are always at work with each other on our behalf. In the words of St. Ignatius, God is at work for us even when we don’t think so.
