It’s the End Purpose, Stupid!

There will always be natural opposition and negativity when we become change agents.

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus confronts some teachers of the law.  Then he encounters his own family.

The true religious leader’s job is “teleological.”  That is, the visionary leader reminds the group of its end purpose and “whom we are trying to become.”

King David unites the northern and southern kingdoms and makes Jerusalem the capitol.  The Lord Jesus preaches the kingdom and gathers great crowds hungry for a good word.

If we Christians persevere the purpose story becomes clearer because it’s author is the Holy Spirit.
