Integrity

To possess integrity is to possess an undivided self.

Poor, poor Herod:  He knows St. John the Baptist to be a righteous and holy man but because of his oaths, his guests and alcohol, he did not wish to break his word to his niece and step-daughter.

Since we live in Christ Jesus, may we work hard at blamelessness uniting our broken parts.   St. Benedict says that I need to speak the truth in my heart and in my mouth (RB 4:28). And Socrates would add, The unexamined life is not worth living.
