One thousand five hundred eighty-three years ago today St. Augustine of Hippo has a dream that the crumbling Roman Empire would become the new City of God in the Catholic Church. Fifty years ago today, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King of Atlanta has a dream that all people would be free; that his own children in the United States would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
Just like St. Paul, both worked night and day to proclaim the Gospel of God to us. Their messages were simple: either we work to become temples of God or we will become whitened sepulchers filled with dead bones.
