Be a Blessing in the World!

St. Augustine says that when Jesus goes up the mountain to teach, it signifies the Gospel’s higher righteousness.

In other words, when we~

~depend on God

~mourn for sin

~act gently

~hunger and thirst for virtue

~act mercifully

~possess pure intentions

~act peaceably

then we become God’s blessing in the world.

But don’t forget, the world does not like the Beatitudes.  So, be ready for revilement.  It comes with the Gospel package!
